This project in Accrington included a full reconfiguration from a lean-to design roof to a double hipped Edwardian. The reason for this is because the minimum pitch for the tiles on our roofs is between 12-15 degrees. If we increased the lean to pitch to this it would have interfered with the waste pipes. We could have boxed these in, but the customer was certain she didn’t want this. Instead we changed the design to a double hipped Edwardian, which in fact gave the illusion of more space inside the conservatory anyway.
We also replaced all the frames and plastered the house wall to make it much more like a room. With the insulated roof the customer can now use the conservatory all year around.
